Our School
In May 2011, the Nepal House Girls School opened its doors. Twelve bright-eyed girls, clad in red shirts, gathered in a circle, and the first kindergarten class commenced. Now in its third year, the school has added its third class including a third teacher, and the students are flourishing. We now serve 25 little Nepali girls and their families. The combination of providing both counseling and academics is unique to the region and is receiving attention because of the historical counseling work that Nepal House has provided to children in different facilities. This combination of counseling/therapy and education is unlike any other school in Asia and has yielded groundbreaking results in the community of Pokhara, Nepal. It’s about providing quality of life, not quantity of support – every aspect of the Girls School is meticulously supported. |
